Northeast Delta Dental has a responsibility to our purchasing groups and individual subscribers to ensure payments to dentists are consistent with current ADA code descriptions and Delta Dental processing policies. To comply with this obligation, we will require the submission of radiographs and clinical notes with all claims for surgical extractions and impacted teeth (ADA Codes: D7210, D7220, D7230, D7240, D7241, D7250 and D7251) beginning November 1, 2011.

For three years, Delta Dental Plan of Vermont, which does business jointly with Delta Dental Plan of Maine and Delta Dental Plan of New Hampshire as Northeast Delta Dental, provided funds to support the Vermont Educational Loan Repayment Program for Dentists as a community match partner. Christopher Bevin, DMD, MD, received Delta Dental Plan of Vermont funds for 2010-2011.

World of Smiles | 8/2/2011

World of Smiles (worldofsmiles.org) is a 501 (c) (3) organization whose mission is the dissemination of donated dental equipment and materials received from dentists, suppliers and manufacturers to clinics caring for the underserved and underprivileged. World of Smiles has helped organizations in Maine, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, and Michigan; as well as Israel, Afghanistan and Haiti after disasters. They have received items from many very prestigious companies but as a new entity, World of Smiles is looking for assistance with funding. Individual Dental Plans

Dental Benefit Plans for Employers and Groups

Northeast Delta Dental administers dental benefits to more than 700,000 people in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont and designs programs for organizations of all sizes and people with no access to employer–sponsored dental insurance programs.

We offer three plan types for employer groups.

Our Premier Small Group program for 5 to 99 employees has twelve standard plan designs and two employer premium contribution options from which to choose. Choosing a standard plan option helps to reduce our administrative expense so we pass that savings on to the client however, it's easy to custom tailor a plan design to suit any group's needs. All of our plans come with a one-year rate guarantee.

Dental Plans for Large Groups is for employer groups with 100 or more employees.  Northeast Delta Dental offers plan design flexibility.  From fully insured to self insured, we have a plan that will work for you.

Voluntary dental benefits designed for employer groups of one or more... even if the only employee is you!  Consider offering a voluntary dental benefit program from Northeast Delta Dental.

From our recent edition of the Oral Health Update

There are many types of floss available that clean under the gums and between teeth where a toothbrush cannot reach. Unwaxed floss, waxed floss, dental tape, super floss, even yarn can be used. Some floss is thicker than others. Some floss has less wax than other brands. Sometimes a thin, wide tape is best.
